(And some that you should be buying for yourself!)
1. West Paw Jive
The West Paw Jive is probably ALL of our dog’s most favorite toy, hands down! What Labrador Retriever doesn’t love to play fetch? This ball has outlasted every other ball we’ve ever bought, and that is saying a lot when you have 8+ dogs playing with the same set of balls on a daily basis. You can rest assured this is a time tested toy here at TPL. One of the best parts of any West Paw Toy is that you can toss it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking brand new. The West Paw toys are handcrafted in the USA, and the company offers a one time refund or replacement per toy design.
2. Slobber Stopper
We’re going to be honest here. The Slobber Stopper is a gift for you and your floors! This is one of those things that is well worth the wait because its currently on backorder. When we say it’s well worth it, we mean it! The Slobber Stopper eliminates 85% of the water that is spilled out of your dog’s mouth after drinking. We have a lot of dogs as well as wood floors, and this has become one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. Our dry floors and dry socks are a proof of its effective design. It is shared with all of our clients, and dog-loving friends. When it becomes available on Amazon again, we will update this post with a link. We love our Slobber Stoppers (yes, we own more than one)!
3. Elk Antlers
Our dogs love to chew, especially our puppies while they are teething. We were not happy with the quality of the antlers we were buying; thus, we began our quest to find a source for the best, most reasonably priced antlers for our dogs, and our puppies. Each and every puppy that leaves Tall Pine Labradors, is sent home with a premium elk or moose antler. Why? Because, we love setting our families up for success by ensuring that each puppy has proper toys to chew. Puppies are just like teething babies and they need to have the right things to chew on. These antlers are all natural and have not been chemically processed;therefore, they have no additives or fillers. Antlers are a natural source of calcium, phosphorous, glucosamine and chondroitin, and other vitamins and minerals. They are mess and odor free, making them a great long-lasting chew. All of our antlers are hand selected for us, cut, sanded, and shipped directly to us by our supplier.
4. West Paw Zogoflex Hurley Dog Bone
The West Paw ZogoFlex Hurley Dog Bone is great for hard chewers, and it’s dual purposed as a floatable water toy, making it great for dock diving practice. We use ours with our dogs in the pool and at the local dock. All West Paw toys are color coded to show strength and durability. Please note the durability color chart when purchasing this item for your dog.
5. Wobble Wag Giggle Ball
The Wobble Wag Giggle Ball is dual purpose toy, as well, but not for what you might think. Our dogs AND our toddlers love to play with this toy together, and that is a win-win for us! This is not chew toy, but a toy to keep your dog engaged both mentally and physically, providing activity to expend excess energy.
6. West Paw Zisc
This has become a TPL Family favorite. Several our of families have told us that this is one of their dogs’ favorite toys. We personally own several of these Zisc’s ourseleves. You just can’t beat the quality of West Paw Toys. They are made right here in the USA! They’re in it for the wags. They will replace or refund anything, once, that doesn’t induce a happy dance.
7. GoDogGo Fetch Machine
The GoDogGo Fetch Machine is at the top of our dogs Christmas list this year. They have all been very good this year, and we think they have definitely made it on to Santas “Nice” list. With 4+ star rating, we are excited to have them put this machine to the test! Time to buy some tennis balls!
8. Zuke’s Mini Naturals Training Treats
Encouraging good behaviors with your dogs with treats, toys, and praise is a definite must. Zuke’s Mini Naturals Training Treats are what we put in our pockets when potty training and obedience training our own puppies, to encourage basic good behaviors. They are also the treats we put in the puppy starter bags that we send home with TPL families. They make a great stocking stuffer for your four legged loved one.
9. PoyPet No Pull Harness
This is one of those gifts that is more for you and less for your dog. If you have a dog who thinks they are the boss, and loves to pull on the leash, this is the gift for you! Order this and your arms will thank us later.
10. Dog Water Fountain Dog Sprinkler Step-On Toy
If you own a Labrador Retriever, it’s really no secret that they love water. The Dog Water Fountain Dog Sprinkler Step-On Toy has been at the very top of the wish list for all of our water loving pups. Santa is bringing a lot of goodies for some very well-behaved dogs this year. We can’t wait to see the joy on our dogs faces as they play in the water this coming year.
11. Lumabone Durable Dog Chews
We just have to keep saying it—Labrador Retrievers LOVE to chew! So, it’s important that they have the right toys to chew or else they will chew on things you would rather they left unchewed. Lumabones are a great long-lasting, durable dog chew made right here in America. We love these so much, we include one in each and every puppy take-home bag. We will also continue our Christmas tradition, giving each member of our pack a new Lumabone this year.
12. Starmark Treat Dispensing Chew Ball Tough Dog Toy
The Starmark Treat Dispensing Chew Ball Tough Dog Toy was recommended to us by one of our puppy families, and they said it has lasted through not one, but three different dogs. When other treat dispensing toys didn’t last, this has one stood the test of time. It’s touted as one of the best treat balls for aggressive chewers. We know of several dogs in our pack who are going to be so excited when Santa brings them a new ball with which to play.
